Booking # 171: Direct Drive Loft Party

Really happy with both how i played this evening, the vibes the crowd was giving off from my set, and the other DJ's that played. Lots of fun. The room was hot, everyone was sweating, laaaate night vibes, peaked at about 2:00. Everyone was loving Lukeino's set. He played exactly the kinda stuff that i enjoy live and the crowd felt the same way, big bass heavy DnB, ranging from hard rollers to deep funky stuff. Great selection and skills. The loft itself has been renovated and looks alot better. They brought in big booths that seat 5 and lined them up on the wall. They also moved the fake bar and built a real bar. Nice setup, better use of the space. Cant wait for next month!

Amazing night for NYC DnB. The Direct Drive loft is really picking up, things feel great, fresh, new faces, everyone dances. Excited for the future of the loft parties. Our closer could not make it due to illness, so i filled it at the last minute. I played a real short set, we had a few technical difficulties throughout the night, which made using serato difficult for those using the turntables. Problems aside, it was a fantastic night musically, and i tried to bring the music up for the last 30 minutes. Truth be told, it was not my best set, to short, not focused. Motivates me to do better next month. Many thanks to everyone who came out. Big up NYC!!!
