Always good vibes at Camo! Was a honor and a pleasure to play alongside Kemo. I really enjoy his work with Lynx, very talened MC. This was a fun night. Raw Q started out with heavy rolling classics and funky new stuff. I've seen Beau so many times and i never know what to expect. He always maintains a sense of style, but i never here him play the same tunes over and over. Great selector and Dj. The same can definitely be said for Christian Bruna who turned alot of heads this night. I think we all expected Christian to play big rolling dancefloor tunes, instead for the first 30 minutes he played minimal, deep, almost experimental DnB tunes. Never know what to expect from Christian, which i think was his point in playing that set. Gotta respect that. A very diverse selector. For the last 30 minutes of he brought the energy way up. Fun set, thu i think it would have been appreciated better at 12:00.
I went on with Kemo at 2:00 till about 3:00. I tried to cater to him, but thats easy for me, as the music he's affiliated with is the style i play. I heard him say "yall, know the clock is ticking", so a few tunes latter i played the new Soul:r tune "Clockwork" with that line in it. Representing Soul:r himself, Kemo gave me the nod of approval. For my set, I mixed it up between the harder liquid vibes and the chrunchy halftime DnB. Playing lots of Tricky Pat & Brandon Miles, they are making really excellent DnB tunes right now. New ST Files is excellent, mixmaster doc's halftime tunes are huge, both big on the floor.
"Shichman, slick man, sick dj... ;) good meeting you too. One. K"
Yep, it was a great night! :)
