Booking # 187: Revolution of Bass, Brooklyn 9/24/10

I've been working with the Hellfire Machina guys for a while now, i've had them play Direct Drive a few times, always enjoy their music.  Recently we have been working on events together, including the upcoming "One Family" party at Sullivan Room.  They asked if i wanted to play this party of Revolution of Bass in Brooklyn, and opportunity i jumped on.  The venue was a large top floor space in Greenpoint, main room indoors, 2nd room ourdoor.  I walked in and saw MC Posi-D rocking the mic, which is always nice to see.  The main room was big with a great system, but it was such a nice night that most people were outside, which is where i wanted to play.  I ended up having to play outside because of technical issues.  I played from 4-5AM. which is a bit late for me, and one of the latter sets i've played in NYC not including New Years Eve shows, but it was great.  Lots of people dancing, excellent weather, overlooking a small bridge, it was a perfect evening.  I played a bit harder and alot more halftime due to it being a mostly dubstep party.  They loved my set, i got excellent feedback.  Being on the roof, near the highway bridge, there was some dust and i had to stop and clean off the dust and needles once or twice, so it was not the best technical set i've ever had, but it did not matter.  The vibe was there and everyone had a good time.  Much respect to the Hellfire Machina guys, also Nebula for the assistance, and for a great set!  Big up guys!
