Booking # 139: Drop @ Momia, NYC

New Thursday night weekly in NYC. I don't think it will last long in this venue, its just not right for the crowd. The place looks like an Egyptian lounge, which is because they serve sushi, although its not very good. Not really enough room to dance, but people did move a little to the sets, there were only about 20 people there anyway. I had asked earlier in the week if there were CDJ's, the reply was something like "yes but not Pioneer's, but don't worry I've seen many dj's rock on them"... Not what i wanted to hear but i was willing to role with it. Big mistake really, it was a horrible dual deck old school style cdj. Worst off, it was nearly broken and i had to use chopsticks to change the track, which hardly worked at all and made me miss all my cues, which was ok cause i could not really cue or beatmatch on those decks anyway. the sound was horrible too. Yea, this sucked.
